Three New Mercies ~ Day 2

Starting this challenge yesterday, I will confess to you that finding the abundant gifts of God are almost second nature when you are away from the dailyness of life on vacation in a beautiful sanctuary that is "almost heaven."

Not so easy with chores, to do's, clocking-in and clocking-out, have-to's, and the tedium breathing down your neck.

But the gifts are there...

Three gifts falling today...

 Wonderful Words of Life

1. The pages of God's Word falling open on my lap in the morning.

 Color and Crashing Water

2.  The crashing sound of falling water in one of my favorite places on earth...just being here is a gift.

 Falling Fog

3.  The fog that came rolling in as the clouds fell upon us in the upper elevations at Dolly Sods.  The mood in the photos I captured were unattainable any other way...without God's gift of fog.

What gifts of falling do you see today?  Repy...I'd love to know!

  2. Lovely Post! I see the wonderful shift of leaves from green to bright russets, golds, and oranges. Autumn is a great time to illuminate God's gifts of nature.

  3. 3 Gifts Falling: Mine are.... 1) Fresh fallen snow - the stillness, the silence, the perfection of each new snowflake. 2) Leaves falling on a crisp Autumn day. The sound when you shuffle through them with your feet! 3) Falling in Love. Whether it be the Love of your Life, the first time you hold your newborn child, the day you bring home that new puppy, sitting in a candlelit church on Christmas Eve celebrating the birth of Jesus!

  4. I love the sound of shuffling and crunching through leaves. It is the epitome of a good day when I have heard that song. Unfortunately, I do not see much snow. But when it happens, it is all the more beautiful because of its rarity.

  5. Hi Denise,
Thanks so much for you kind comment to my guest post. :-) As for gifts today, well, I just went back to work after being off for a week and a half, my attention just was not on noticing gifts! However, I did bring flowers to work for my desk and I did leave early so I could spend more time with my sister on her birthday today. I guess that still counts!
