Confessions of a Drive-By Clicker - Texture Tuesday

Another Texture Tuesday with Kim...

I have a confession.  I'm Denise F. and I'm a drive-by clicker.  It drives Edster crazy.  We will be cruising and I'll see something, quickly framing it in my mind, then saying, "Stop!" as we have almost always already driven by...and my shutter finger is quivering in excitement.

Cruising through the backroads of West Virginia last week...I saw this house...framed it in my head...and after passing it...STOP!  Edster goes in reverse (hoping no cars are coming behind us).

How could I pass this old house up?  It so reminds me of the house in the movie, The Notebook. You know...the house Noah purchases and restores to forget that Allie is no longer available.  But that's not the end of the story...

If you haven't seen it...you should!  No spoilers here!

I did some edits and added Kim's texture, appreciate, for this photo.

Are you a drive by clicker???

  1. Beautiful, Denise! I stop sometimes when I drive alone - Your capture is absolutely wonderful, and the quote fits just perfectly!

  2. So pretty. I'd love to be a drive by clicker...my husband is not nearly as accommodating as yours!

  3. Love this photo and your pp. Hard to get perfect framing on a drive by, but you've certainly done it.

  5. Wowser love it what a gem, wish we could do some of that stop and click but our roads are too narrow and there is rarely a stopping place

  8. Beautiful house, no wonder you yelled "stop!" I also fit the bill of a drive-by-clicker, only when I travel with Mr. H it's usually on business and I shoot from the moving vehicle!

  9. Oh yes, I'm an obsessive drive by clicker! My husband is very patient with me, thank goodness...lol. I'm glad you clicked this one - what a lovely house!

  11. My sweet husband has done so many turn arounds so I can hop out of the car and capture the shot!

  12. This was SO worth the backing up! Yes, this is Noah's house (I just watched the Notebook AGAIN the other night...James Garner reminds me of my Dad in this; I have watched the very ending only once...). I saw it almost before I read what you wrote!
Bob will back up for me too, but not as patiently when we are biking. LOL

    Magical editing!

  13. Yep! My hubby is used to me saying... "OOOO--I need to snap that!", as i dig into my camera bag at my feet. :)
    Wonderful house...and edits! (but i didn't like the movie...guess i'm not a romantic. I like things 'real'.)
