Who Let the Dogs Out?

Well, the boys' shoes were waiting for them...

and after a high carb breakfast of pancakes made by Grandpa Ed...they were in the ZONE.

The Paws for a Cause part of the Kids Are #1 Run at Akron Children's Hospital!

To practice leading Bruno and Arthur, we had Noah and Elijah walk the canal route up to the starting line.

Edster, aka the Dogfather, helped get the dogs and boys ready!

But first things first...FACE PAINTING!

But then it was Oooh-ing and Ahhh-ing over the dogs.  Here's Ollie...whose mother was a pure bred Pembroke Welsh Corgi who was gone for three days and later gave birth.  Obviously she had a fling with a Golden Retriever! (smile)

There were too many to photograph!

 

 Then there was relaxing prior to the START...

And the seven of us were off...

Getting passed up by dogs and walkers with longer legs.

That's okay, I'll take our team ANY day!

Horse Campin'

Spring in West Virginia...and yes...it is late here, too!  But it is still Spring!

Edster, me and the four-footed boys are staying at a Horse Camp near Harman...

A two bedroom apartment with two porches (one outside french doors from the Master bedroom) with a hot tub...

overlooking the countryside...

 ...and it's attached to the horse barn.

And in the fridge...fresh farm eggs...two dozen!!!

Now Arthur is sooooooooooooo home here...made for the farm...herding the guinea hens.

And they don't like it...then he found the horses!

"Let me at 'em...let me at 'em!"

"Ruh-roh...now what?"

Sorry, Arthur...these two couldn't care less...

Actually they are very sweet...and the fun begins!

It's Arthur Time!!!

A lay low Sunday...Edster's been sick in bed all day...and I woke up with a sinus headache, which improved by mid-day...so we laid low.

I was blessed to see our Bruno and Arthur this afternoon as I watched them interact in the backyard...

Yes, they are playing...

And playing hard...

And it's a two-way street...

But again, Arthur knows he's runnin' with a big dog...

but he's making his way...

until Mom hollers, "Time out!"...

But that doesn't last long...

But Bruno reaches his limit and ponders..."What happened to life as I once knew it?"

So Arthur shakes it off...feels a little dejected...but in a nano second his attention is elsewhere...

Hmmmmmmm...SNOW!!!!!

Let's play "SNOW PLOW!"  He is overflowing with joy as he ponders, "Is there no end to this mischief?"

which shows ALL over his face...

and I laugh...

and am blessed!
